Coronavirus Update

UPDATE 3/31/2020:
The State of Texas has mandated that no elective procedures be performed by any provider. Patients with urgent or emergent needs may still schedule and have their procedures performed. If you believe your case for surgery is urgent or are not sure, call our team at 512-275-6471. We will help you get your procedure scheduled as fast as possible.

We encourage patients needing elective procedures to join our growing first come, first serve wait list. Due to restrictions on elective procedures lasting through April, wait times for your procedure will increase as more patients join the list. To ease this burden our team will still help gather medical records and have a preferred surgeons qualify you for surgery while you wait. Our goal is to ensure that you are totally prepared for your procedure when the restrictions are lifted.

Call us at 512-275-6471 with any questions and we’ll do our best to give you the most up to date answers as we know them.

TMM’s medical team is closely monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our patients and health care partners. TMM and its surgeon, anesthesia and facility partners are in communication to assess the latest developments, to ensure our preparedness and to stay abreast of the latest guidelines. TMM remains vigilant in monitoring patient travel screenings and symptoms as well as reviewing our infection protocols.

As a reminder, TMM performs surgery at Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) and Surgical Hospitals (SH). For all ASCs and SHs who focus on elective surgery, it is standard protocol to deny admittance to a facility and reschedule a surgery if the patient has symptoms such as fever, cough or congestion. For this and other reasons, ASCs and SHs have infection rates far below Acute Care Hospitals.

Our staff will work closely with you to determine the best time to move forward in your care with TMM. Please call our team at 512-275-6471 if you have any questions or concerns.
